Joshua A. Partington

Josh is an experienced attorney, who began his practice in the Washington, DC office of a large intellectual property firm. He has represented large public and private companies across a wide variety of industries in transactions, contracts, before state and federal agencies, and in intellectual property enforcement matters in administrative law  and federal courts. Josh also worked with startups on early stage intellectual property and corporate issues. As a member of several large law associations, Josh worked on policy and the submission of association and industry input to federal agencies and international regulators.

At JWM Law, Josh assists the firm’s clients in transactions, real estate matters, and before local and state regulatory agencies in connection with the development, sale, and acquisition of renewable energy projects. Josh’s varied skill set allows him to meet the challenges encountered in any given renewable energy project and by  different renewable energy clients.

Josh is licensed in Virginia and admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and his law degree from the George Mason University Law School.

Outside of work and family, Josh enjoys mentoring and working with kids in the local school district.
